Decent men's clothes collection in the Missoula store and good sales prices, but the credit card is a joke. Again, decent local-branch - despite short-staffed Mens Store; poor credit card. Below is for the CC. Tried calling the number to activate mine just so that the account would show up when I went to pay it off. I don't buy clothes often at all - it was just to try to build credit. Entered the last 4 digits on my card, was instantly told by the automated system that it couldn't be found and was instantly transferred to a rep who couldn't wait to take all my information down. I swear this guy was 60% recording. Even told me I had to say "yes" instead of "yep" or "correct". Yellow flag, right there. Proceeded to confirm/take my account info, then went into a loop about some $1.99 protection/benefit thing. Even after I declined to "go ahead and get [me] signed up", he just looped back around, word for word, inflection for inflection. Either this guy had this pre-recorded, or he was just that good; so I'll give him that. I finally agreed, since allegedly it would only be charged for every $100 balance I had on my card at the end of each cycle. Then he starts reading off some caveats; that even though it can make sure I'm able to pay my balance in case of sudden unemployment, I wouldn't qualify if I was currently disabled or unemployed. I told him I am currently unemployed, and he went 'ooh, I'm sorry. So you wouldn't qualify....', then proceeded back into his loop and ended with 'so lets get you signed up, ok?' Um, no, you just said I wouldn't qualify... The only thing I got out of that whole phone call was that I was fleeced into signing up for some extra BS charge that they can tack onto your account at any time to say that you have a balance and start charging you interest if you're like me and only buy $50 of clothing a year! By then I figured it was worth $1.99 just to get off the phone! Be very, very wary of store cards, is the lesson here.
